See the seller's listing for full details. Packaging should be the same as what is found in a retail store, unless the item is handmade or was packaged by the manufacturer in non-retail packaging, such as an unprinted box or plastic bag. New: A brand-new, unused, unopened, undamaged item in its original packaging (where packaging is applicable). This hardware version (PCB 50) is more STABLE than version PCB4.5C and supports 3V3-3V6 SPI Flash devices.*. Includes an ISP header on the PCB for In-Circuit Serial Programming (ICSP). Replacing the adapter with a compatible one fixed the issues entirely.Willem Eprom Programmer Pcb50 Rating: 9,7/10 5590 votes For some reason, the LPT headers on the motherboard had a pin arrangement that was not compatible with the parallel port adapter. I found that parallel port was producing unexpected behavior when testing it manually using MS-DOS DEBUG to see if the data pins were being set high/low properly. The issue was not with the actual programmer. The version I'm attempting to use (in PCB5E mode) is "2006 PCB5.0C EPROM Program Ver 0.98d8", which was included on the CD, and the computer is running Windows 98.ĭoes anyone else have experience with this programmer, and if so, have they encountered similar issues? Thanks for any help.ĮDIT: Solved. I've attempted switching the parallel port to ECP or ECP/EPP mode, and I've also attempted moving the version jumper from PCB5E to PCB3B, and using the compatible earlier version of the programming software.

The programmer appears to be powered on (all lights on), yet nothing I do seems to give any reaction to any function, other than a generic 'Hardware error'. The programmer is connected using a good parallel cable, with the parallel port running in 'EPP/SPP mode' (no option for just EPP), and powered using a USB cable connected to a laptop. Attempting to run the 'Hardware Test', or using any other function, results in a 'Hardware Error: Check Power & connection'. However, I can't seem to get the software to cooperate. I'm attempting to use a Willem EPROM Programmer, version PCB5.0E, sold by 'KEE Electronics', to write to a 28C64 EEPROM.
